This is an amazing and rare microphone ! It is best used outdoors and for when you are unable to get too close. Its like a telephoto lens for your audio. You can get clean audio recordings ( even dialoque ) from 1-2 meters away, or further. I have used it in narrative work and outside you can shoot wide angle shots and not have to get the boom so close. I am including a shock mount, a boom pole and a windscreen with any rental. ( in pictures) official info below. The Sennheiser MKH 70 is a lightweight long gun microphone. Its excellent directivity is particularly suited to applications undertaken in difficult conditions, such as high background noise and distance microphone positioning. Its frequency-independent directivity prevents sound coloration from off-axis sound sources.
